The Sannes Family!: It's already been 2 months...

This time is going by so quickly. I know I say it a lot, but it really is. Today, Carson turned 2 months old. This past week and a couple days has been full of many adventures with our baby.

Carson is starting to love his tummy time mat, and we try to get him to play on it at least once a day. He still hasn't accomplished rolling over, but he is reaching for stuff...and he loves talking and blowing bubbles while laying on it.

We were going to return it, but he decided to start liking it, so we kept it..

Thursday, the 14th, Carson and I went to my moms house to visit his cousin Nolan while she was there. When we showed up, Nolan was "napping", but magically woke up when we walked into the living room. She loves Carson so much, loves holding him and talking to him. She kept trying to rock him while he was crying in his car seat. We look forward to the day that they will actually play together. While we were there, it was pretty hot outside, and Carson was sweating through his onesies...so we let him play outside in his diaper. He absolutely LOVED it. Eventually, I let him just air out, naked. He peed a couple times outside, but it was okay.

On Friday, we left for Wenatchee to visit Adam's family. We went there so Adam can get fitted for his tux for his brothers wedding in October. It was also a chance for Carson to meet his Great Grandma Gwen, as well as visit with other family members. When we arrived in Wenatchee, it was 106 degrees outside, which was crazy. Carson loved seeing his Grandma and Grandpa...and they were excited to see him. Parker was also excited to see his best friend, William. On friday, we just hung out and watched Michael Phelps dominate in the Olympics. Also, Adams Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Beth arrived to see the baby.

Saturday, we woke up and it was already almost 100 outside! We went across town so Adam and his dad could be fitted for their tuxes. Carson was babysat by his Grandma, who got a chance to show off his new swing and his toy bee with crinkly wings. He loved the lights on the swing, and loved it when people held the bee in front of his face so he could try and grab it. It's amazing how many new things he's learning every day.

Later that day, we went over to Adam's Grandparents house for a bbq. It was a nice surprise when Adam's Uncle Paul drove up from Vancouver. Also, Adam's cousin Morgan, and her baby, Boyd were there. Boyd is 9 days older than Carson is, and it's amazing to see the difference in both the babies. We ate lots of food, plucked some guitar strings, and swam (Adam did, I didn't!)By the time 8:30 rolled around, we were all exhausted...and we wanted to watch Michael Phelps again.

Sunday morning we woke up and Aunt Beth and Great Grandparents showed up to say goodbye to Carson. Beth wanted to take Carson to Spokane, but fearing an Amber Alert, decided to let us take him back with us. We packed up our things, and our Injured Corgi...(poor Corg...his foot was hurt due to too much excitement) and headed over the mountains for the longest 4 hour drive home. The traffic was awful and construction topped it off. We did get a view of some fires burning over Stevens Pass due to the lightning storms the night before.

We relaxed on Sunday and just watched a movie. It was still hot over here, so we really didn't want to be too active. We were all exhausted from the weekend and all of the excitement.
