Valentines Day, Grandma Pam's surprise party and our Anniversary!

Valentines day on Saturday the 14th was fun. We aren't big on Valentines Day (from what I thought, we didn't even really celebrate it...) So it was a relaxing day. We had a lazy morning and since it was so nice out, took Parker to the Park. Carson LOVES seeing all the dogs at the park, loves watching them play! It is fun to see things from a childs eyes, as everything gets him excited. Parker liked seeing his "friends" as well. He really doesn't play with other dogs, I think he thinks he's a person.

Later that day, Adam surprised me with a little present. He got me the monkey from the show "Three Sheets", on a key chain! We loved that show, before it went off the air...so it was a nice surprise! We also made Jambalaya that night, one of our favorites...and it was GOOD.

Sunday, the 15th, was my Moms birthday. We had a surprise party for her at my brothers house, and she was actually surprised! It was a great feeling to see her that happy...surrounded by people that she loves! Carson was dressed to the nines, wearing a sweater vest and jeans...and shoes. He looked very handsome. Our "little man". It was a great day, with tons of food and lots of laughs and love.

On the 18th was our anniversary! We cooked dinner and just relaxed. It's hard to get a "night out" without Carson, so we had a "night in" and watched movies and made rib-eyes, rice and asparagus. Mmmmm, so good. Later, to celebrate, we went to the Casino (Saturday), and had the buffet there (soooo good!!) We gambled a bit, hung out with my brother, Paula, and a bunch of there friends. It was a great night!

It's amazing how time flies. Carson is so big, and this year is flying by. We cannot believe that we are starting to think about his 1st birthday party! What I am looking forward to is it being sunny and warm! Also, getting Carson in a pool...that is the next step!

Visit from The Sannes family!

Hello! Thanks for Visiting me!

Grandpa Wayne, Grandma Dorene, Great-Grandpa Adams and Great-Grandma Adams all came over to visit on January 31st. They were just here for the day to visit everyone, and to go to the Casino in Snoqualmie.

Carson was very excited to see them, and wanted to show off his new tooth...and just be cute :) Everyone was really happy to give him some loves.

We decided to join everyone at the Casino, so Grandpa Dave and Grandma Pam babysat Carson. Unfortunately, nobody was a big winner....but we did have lots of fun!

Babysitting with this one is a real rough job, no fun at all, just no fun!

Doctors, illnesses and catch up

Carson went to his craniofacial doctor at Childrens hospital on Feb 6th. The doctor said that his head looks great, and that he doesn't need a helmet! YEAH! We loved our experience at Childrens....Carson wasn't a fan of getting naked to get weighed and measured though. I guess they've been off on his measurements. He was 25.6 inches long and only weighed 16lbs 13oz He is such a little guy. He is an eating machine though, so that is great. I don't see any cause for concern, since Adam and I are both thin.

On the 5th we took Carson in to see the doctor, he'd been pulling at his ear a lot, had a fever of 103, and we were worried. He had a cold, and there was nothing that we could do. Basically, tylenol for the fever, and make sure that he has a cool mist humidifier in his room at night. After our appt on the 6th, we went to Babies R Us and picked out a humidifier, along with some other stuff. The humidifier we got is shaped like a cow, and Carson LOVES it. The mist blows out of the cows ears, and is so cute.

That's a big horse...in fact, it may even be a moth..

So, on the 6th, that night, Carson threw up for the first time :( All over himself, the high chair, everywhere. He looked so sad, but instantly was happier after it happened. By that Saturday, he was fine...and he even went shopping with us! Sadly, I got the flu that Saturday night, and was miserable. We are all healthy (for the most part....just a nagging cold is going around here).

New things (the list goes on)

Singing a song!

Carson got his first tooth on 1/30!! We woke up that morning, and there was this tiny little hard spot poking out of his gum. He only has started getting the left bottom tooth and it is SO cute. He sticks out his tongue and plays with it...I love it. He is now starting to also get his right bottom tooth. If his gums weren't so emflamed, he probably would have it by now.

Carson also started crawling on 1/30! He goes for a little bit, and figures out that he gets around a lot faster army-crawling, than actual crawling. But, he is an active little guy. Into everything you could possibly imagine....and if you look away for a second, he's across the room. He definately has been keeping us all on our toes, that is definately for sure! He loves chasing after Parker, and just getting into things he knows he shouldn't. It makes for some interesting nights. We have now put the pack n play in our living room, with tons of toys in it, for those times when he is into things. He loves playing in it, and it keeps him occupied for 30 minutes :)

On 2/10, Carson sat up unassisted. He went from crawling and just sat up like a big boy! He is very proud when he does it. Sometimes he falls over, other times he just goes back to crawling. He is figuring it out though!

On 2/12, he randomly started clapping. We noticed it when watching American Idol (I make fun of the way Paula claps on a regular basis), and he started doing it! Now, he claps when he's happy, he claps when he's crying....he loves it.

Carson turned 8 months on the 19th...Adam and I were in the kitchen talking. Carson was crawling around the living room, and when we walked in, he was climbing up the coffee table, in a standing position! He was SO proud!! He was hitting the table, smiling, making tons of noise. I must say, it nearly gave us a heart attack! I wasn't expecting it! He did start getting into a semi-standing position while playing with the toys in his bouncer. He would get on his bouncer, and start bouncing on it while on his knees. But WOW. We are definately proud parents!

Better keep those tables cleared off now...I'm Big Boy!

Adam has been getting Carson to say Dada a lot. All he says is "Dada", and forgets about poor Mama. I am trying to change this ;) It's a battle...but it will be won!

Daycare and back to work

Carson Started daycare on the 29th of January. He is going to the same place that I went to when I was a newborn (6 weeks old) Until I was 12 years old! My niece, Nolan and nephew, Mateo both go there as well. I love Melanie and Steve's just for the fact that it is literally 5 minutes away from my work, he is with his family, and I've grown up with these people! I dropped him off my first day of work, and he was happy when I left...and smiling and laughing when I picked him up. Really, there is no better feeling than that. He is getting the socialization that every baby needs...and he is in a really good environment! All of the kids think he is so cute there, and he even has parents saying that he is the best baby that they have seen. I think we are pretty lucky! Melanie says he never cries, he is always smiling...and is a very good eater!

As for my job, I love it. It's challenging, tiring, but it is great. My coworkers make for some interesting times....and it's exciting to finally have some adult conversation on a hourly basis!

Bananas (and other foods!)

Carson LOVES bananas! We were putting off giving him fruit for awhile, but we decided to buy some bananas and put them in the mesh feeder his cousin Lily got him.

The second we put them in the feeder, he went nuts. He sucked and sucked and got so messy. He didn't want us to take them away! He even whined and started crying when we took the mesh feeder away to give him more bananas! By far, they are his favorite food now.

All is right in the world now..

We try to give him at least one fruit and one vegetable a day. He still loves peas, sweet potatoes, carrots and squash. We are forcing him to eat green beans again....but he grunts, whines for more, when it comes to fruit. Go figure....

So, we now put him in his high chair, cut up some bananas, and give them to him. He goes crazy. He also loves eating gerber puffs, the veggie flavored ones. We also chop up bits of pasta and give them to him in his high chair while we are eating. Whatever we are eating, he has to be included and have some too. He gets bites of whatever we have. We do have a good eater on our hands.

Family Christmas!

So, my family always does our Christmas at a later date, so we can all get together. On the 24th, we all showed up with TONS of presents for the kids for our annual family Christmas.

I love it when we all get together, we are so loud, the kids have fun...and there is always a lot of yummy food involved!

The kids went crazy with their presents. Nolan was soooooo excited about the Helmet she got, but failed to get as excited about the scooter she got to go with it. We got this all on video, but it was cute! Mateo and Dylan both got backpacks, and kept pretending like they were going to school. Max got legos and stuff, and was having a ton of fun.

Paparazzi, where?

Carson was very spoiled. He now is overloaded with toys...but is so cute. He loves the leapfrog toy that his Aunt Paula and Uncle Steve got him. Parker also loves it too, unfortunately. But, it does keep him entertained for awhile!

Happy Hands is Fun for Me....

Carson got tons of outfits, toys....and stuff that we needed. He was pulling at the wrapping paper while opening presents, but only to put it in his mouth. Next Christmas, he'll have opening presents down...and guarenteed will whip through them in no time!
