14 months old

Crazy to think that we have a walking, talking, wild 14 month old here now! Time has flown, and I remember how stressed out and tired we all were this time last year!

Carson turned 14 months old yesterday. He now knows where his belly button is, and is definately not afraid to go around showing you....or looking for yours. It always makes people laugh when you are out in public and he pulls up your shirt and says "be but" (belly button)...and searches for it.

He is a very active boy, climbing on everything, ignoring us when we show him to sit on the couch and jumping on it anyways....he's crazy. We are loving it though! As I typed this, he decided to make a slip and slide in our front hallway with his sippy cup of water....that was a fun mess to clean up!

We have tons of pictures to post, but again, every weekend has been booked for the past few weeks, and this weekend is also a full one. Carson's future wife, Ava, is turning 1 on Saturday, and we will not be able to make it to Wenatchee for the party. We will be getting them together NEXT weekend! I'm excited.

So that's it, Just an update to show that we are all alive!

So I was bored and entered an old picture of Parker in a contest. I must say, he is a cute dog...and he was such an adorable puppy!

1st Haircut

A week and a half ago we decided that it was time to cut Carson's crazy-man hair. His hair was so long in some places it almost touched his shoulder! It was out of control! Instead of taking him to a kids place, we decided to go to Great Clips. He was surprisingly good! He sat like a little boy, and only twitched once (which is why the sides are a little too high for my liking). He got a sucker, and was so excited about it. Afterwards (on a 98 degree day!) we all decided to go to St. Edwards park.

So we got this chair from a coworker of Dorene's. He had been working on this chair for awhile...and Carson loves standing on it....This turned into a game...

He loved falling off the chair...so I figured that I better get it on video....

Adam had his 30th birthday, and for his birthday he got a new set of golf clubs :) They are really really nice...and he loves them! He also had a Birthday Party in Wenatchee with tons of people, poker and alcohol. It was a great time!

For the 4th of July, we all went swimming at my brother's house. Carson loved his first time in the pool. He figured out he could just lay back in the floaty that we borrowed from Nolan...and he would float around. He absolutely LOVED it!!

We went to Scott and Sarah's for fireworks afterwards and realized that Carson dislikes the fireworks immensly. He'd freak out everytime he heard them. FINALLY we got him to go to sleep though! It was a rough time for a bit there.

So yeah, we've been busy. It's what happens during the summer. It's also what happens when your baby has a birthday party/birthday, Father's day, Another birthday, Another birthday party....and other random busy weekends all in a 2 month period.

Well, Carson is so big now. He's learning a million things. He says: Hat, Hot, Puppy, Mama (and mommy), Dada, That (as he points), and other random words. He eats everything in sight, loves all his fruits and vegetables. He loves milk...and would probably drink half a gallon a day if we'd let him. He is into EVERYTHING. Not kidding, we cannot keep him off the coffee table, the couch or his toy chest. He's also always on the move. But it's fun! He LOVES watching baseball on tv just so he can point at all the hats. He'll sit there for 20 minutes and just point and say "HAT!" over and over!

He also loves going swimming...he is comfortable in the water, as long as it is warm. He can tell you where his head is, eyes, nose, mouth and ears are. He also figured out how to stick his finger up his nose. I know it'll eventually become an awful habit, but I hope not!!
