7 weeks old!

This week has gone by incredibly fast, but life with Carson is getting into more of a routine, which is nice. He is growing like a weed, but we won't know where he is at until his next doctor appointment in September.

Carson has now created some sort of routine for us, which is nice. He wakes up for good anywhere between 6:30 and 8 am. He then will nap again at 11, and sleep for a long while. His most awake times are early on in the morning, and around 6 o'clock at night. Just in time for Dad to get home! He is cooing a lot more, smiling a lot more, and is now blowing bubbles. He has found out that he has ears, and likes to grab them a lot! He also pulls his hair (which he still has a ton of!) It's nice that he's starting to also make eye contact more, and loves smiling for his dad especially. It's hard to get pictures of the smile, since they happen so quickly, but we are definately going to keep trying!

This week was pretty relaxed. Again, Wednesday, Carson took a trip to my moms house with me. It was a pretty muggy, cloudy day, but it was perfect to be outside. After spitting up all over his first outfit, he just laid out in his diaper for the longest time. He loves being "naked baby" now. We also worked out in the yard, watering all of her plants outside, while Carson slept in his stroller. Carson also got to see his Grandpa Dave. It had been awhile, but Dave was excited to see him.

Thursday, I had to run out for some errands, while Adam came home and watched Carson for an hour or so. The break was nice, and I think Adam enjoyed watching him...I came home and Carson was completely out.

Not until you're 21, son..

Tummy time with Dad!

Friday, we went to Target to look for a swing, realizing the prices and selection weren't what we had in mind, we decided to go to Walmart on Saturday. On Saturday, we found a rainforest swing for him, which he absolutely LOVES! It's also a lifesaver for us, as we no longer have to pace for hours and hours in our living room while holding him. We also got a tummy time mat, that Parker seems to think is his, more than Carson.

The rest of Saturday was spent relaxing, Adam played on the computer, while I read and hung out with Carson.


Today, we relaxed around the house again. Eventually we took Carson to see his Uncle Scott and Aunt Sarah. This was during his awake time, and he was moving around more, and "talking". We love hearing him talk...and it completely melts my heart.

Notice Aunt Sarah's reaction as we just handed her Carson and said, 'Thanks for babysitting" :)

This week is going to be a good one. We are heading to Wenatchee for Carsons first trip there, this coming weekend. Hope everyone is doing well....
